Child Safety Standards

These are the standards Proximity ("we", "us") holds against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), published by L Squared Brothers PLT (202604002045 (LLP0047285-LGN)), the operator of the Proximity app and this website.

Proximity is an adults-only app. Membership requires you to be 18 or older, and matching, tables and every feature the app offers are built around that assumption from the ground up.

Zero tolerance

We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and for any behavior that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers a child — including grooming, sextortion, or trafficking a child for sex. This applies to every part of Proximity: profiles, messages, in-person conduct at a table or event, and anything a member does while identifying themselves as a Proximity member.

How to report a concern

The Proximity app has a reporting feature that lets you flag a user, a message, or a table directly from within the app, without needing to leave it or find a separate website. Use it any time something feels wrong — you don't need to be certain, and you don't need to explain yourself.

If you'd rather not use the in-app report, or you're reporting something you saw on this website rather than in the app, email support@proximitysocialapp.com directly. We act on every report.

What we do when we find CSAM or CSAE

We remove content and suspend or ban the account involved as soon as we have actual knowledge of it. Where the law requires or permits it, we report to the relevant authorities in Malaysia and cooperate with law enforcement, including preserving evidence rather than deleting it prematurely when we're asked to.

Complying with the law

We comply with Malaysian child safety law, including the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017, and with any equivalent law in a jurisdiction Proximity operates in as we expand. These standards don't replace those laws — they describe how we act on them.
